Can a pregnant or nursing woman consume MightyOmega?
How does MightyOmega differ from the hundreds of other molecularly-distilled fish oils products out there for sale on the internet, in retail stores and from health professionals?
MightyOmega isn’t molecularly distilled--instead, it’s made using a low-heat manufacturing method called SuperCritical Extraction (SCE). The SCE process doesn’t expose the delicate omega-3‘s to high heat or solvents (like the molecular distillation manufacturing process does). Instead, SCE uses low heat and eco-friendly carbon dioxide under pressure to extract and concentrate the active omega-3’s EPA and DHA.
Why does MightyOmega come in only 800 mg capsules?
MightyOmega’s 800 mg capsules are concentrated and easy-to-swallow--whereas most 1,000 mg and 1,200 mg fish oil capsules can be inconvenient and uncomfortable to swallow.
What species of fish do you use in MightyOmega?
MightyOmega contains only sustainably harvested fish body oil from two small, short-lived species of the herring family (Pacific sardine and Pacific anchovy) caught off the pristine waters of Peru. We use these small, short-lived species because they accumulate fewer environmental contaminants than larger fish (such as tuna, shark or swordfish). In addition, these species are more environmentally sustainable because they are: abundant, quick to replenish and carefully managed.
What other ingredients are in MightyOmega?
A potent natural antioxidant blend (rosemary extract and vitamin E) maintains the purity, taste and freshness of every capsule of MightyOmega--that’s it.
Does MightyOmega produce the fishy “burp” that so many people complain about?
Not if taken with a large meal and not if your digestion is healthy.
The “fishy burp” people usually complain about happens when you take fish oil capsules / liquids with too little food or when you have inefficient fat digestion.
What’s the ideal solution to combat the fishy burp?
What are the two not-so-ideal solutions to combat the fishy burp?
Is MightyOmega Enteric Coated?
In a word--NO.
Enteric coating prevents the hydrochloric acid (HCL) in your stomach from breaking down the gelatin capsule (effectively delaying the release of fish oil until the small intestine.
MightyOmega doesn’t have enteric coatings because these coatings can cause sensitivities or allergies due to the chemicals used in their manufacture.
MightyOmega is pure and natural because we didn’t put undisclosed chemicals into it.
Bite into our capsules--you’ll swear you were eating a piece of sushi (with none of the bland, acid taste of heat processed, bleached and deodorized fish oils).
Why doesn’t MightyOmega come in a liquid?
Because fish oil liquids are highly unstable once opened--even when they’re left in the fridge. You see, fish oil liquids are usually stable when left unopened in the fridge or shelf because of stabilization technologies (nitrogen flushing and added antioxidants). However, the opening of the liquid exposes it to oxygen and the damaging process of oxidative degradation (commonly known rancidity) begins -- and it doesn’t stop once it starts.
An unstable product in your fridge is not within our quality standards--and we didn’t think it would be within yours either.
Why does MightyOmega have so much EPA and so little DHA?
MightyOmega contains the “Functional Omega Ratio” of 6.5:1 EPA to DHA. Research shows that the higher the ratio of EPA compared to DHA--the better the clinical results with inflammation, mood disorders (depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)), and cardiovascular disease.
MightyOmega works within days to reduce post-workout muscle soreness because of this high ratio of EPA to DHA.
Is MightyOmega free of heavy metals and other environmental contaminants?
Every batch of MightyOmega undergoes rigorous independent (third-party) testing for environmental contaminants such as heavy metals, dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB’s). Analytical testing of MightyOmega shows levels of harmful contaminants well below the internationally recognized standards established by both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Council For Responsible Nutrition (CRN) (see Table 1 below). Furthermore, MightyOmega contaminant levels show very minimal variation from batch to batch.

limits for contaminants in commercially available fish oil
and contaminant levels present in MightyOmega.

Can a pregnant or nursing woman consume MightyOmega?
Yes, four capsules daily of MightyOmega is an effective way to get the 300 mg of DHA per day recommended by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)--especially if depression and mood are an issue during pregnancy.
Please consult with a licensed physician before taking MightyOmega, or any other natural health product, during pregnancy and lactation.
